The Easiest Way to Clean your Kitchen!

While most of us clean our kitchens in our own special way, did you know that there is an efficient way to do this which could really cut your time down? Check out these tips!

  • Start with having everything you need! A sink filled with hot water and a little bit of Dawn dish soap, a plastic scraper (this is a MUST HAVE!), and a sponge or some cleaning towels. (Here are a few of my favorite products)

  • Always start cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom and also from left to right, then clean the center island if you have one. This way you won’t miss a thing! You can also wipe all the crumbs on the floor since you will be vacuuming them up.

  • Save cleaning the kitchen sink for last since you will likely be using your sink to clean the whole time.

The Dawn dish soap with hot water works great on stainless appliances and for the general wipe down. Instead of leaving an oily residue behind, it will actually clean your stainless steel. Clean in this order to maximum efficiency:

  1. Wipe clean the fronts of the upper kitchen cabinets (Tip: you can do the top of the cabinets once or twice a year for a deep clean!)

  2. Wash your backsplash

  3. Wipe all countertops (Tip: try taking all items totally off your counters once a year. It’s fun to rearrange your kitchen items for a fresh look!)

  4. Wipe clean the front of the bottom kitchen cabinets

  5. Clean the front of appliances

  6. Scrub out the sink (Tip: don’t forget the inside of the drain!)

  7. Lastly vacuum and mop the kitchen floors. (Tip: Spin mops are my personal favorite)

There you have it! The easiest way to clean your kitchen. Having all your supplies and equipment ready is key and then knowing how the order to clean the kitchen makes cleaning very efficient. Or of course, if you are not a customer of Kidwell’s Kleaning yet, call us to do your cleaning (we provide free estimates!), we will be here when you need us! Walking into a spotless home after a long day out is one of the most rewarding experience you can have!
