What Areas Will Guests Notice in Your Home?

What will your holiday guests notice in your home?Do you get all stressed out cleaning your home right before you have guests over for the holidays? Who has time for all that when you are trying to decorate and cook? Well, nobody! But did you know that while you probably want to have your whole house sparkling clean, there are only a few rooms that your guests will be in that you will want to have clean. (Oh, and Kidwell’s Kleaning is here to help you, don’t forget!) Here are the areas that are most noticed when you have a get together!1. Your kitchen! (But of course!) I always clear my countertops of any unneeded items to leave room for preparing food. Don’t forget to clean out your fridge about 1 week ahead of time. Now is a good time to throw away old sponges and break out fresh clean ones. Old sponges, well, are kind of smelly! 😊2. The guest bathroom. Always make sure the guest bathroom is sparkling clean, with an extra roll of toilet paper, a full bottle of hand soap and a brand new trash liner in an empty trash can. A smell good candle is always a great idea too!3. The sofas in the family room. Make sure any pet hair is vacuumed from your sofas and chairs that guests may be sitting on and straighten all the pillows on your furniture as well.4. The baseboards and wall air intake vents. Believe it or not, guests will notice any dust on your baseboards or accumulated dust on your intake vents. Make sure to remove any dust and grime from these areas to present a super clean home.5. Entrance doors. Windex any glass on entrance doors your guests may use, and wipe clean any fingerprints and grime around the doorknobs and trim around the door!I hope this list can help you. The best time in my opinion to do a full, deep cleaning is AFTER the party, because you know your floors will be a mess by then! I hope you all have a great holiday season. We will be here after the holidays should you need us. Nothing brings in the New Year like a spotless house!
