A Great Spring Cleaning Checklist
Are you ready for some serious spring cleaning and maintenance? Spring always makes me think of a new beginning, a fresh start, a new season and what better way to start the season than with a fresh and well maintained home? Try working down this great spring cleaning list, doing just a few a day for a couple of weeks!KITCHEN:
- Clean out fridge and feezer
- Clean oven and remove/clean stove burners and knobs
- Clean out and wipe clean cabinets and drawers
- Discard old spices
- Hand wash floor and baseboards
- Wipe down all surfaces of fridge
- Pull out range and clean behind it
BEDROOMS:
- Wash all bedding including mattress pads, bedskirts and comforters
- Replace or wash pillows
- Go through closets and switch out seasonal clothing/get rid of unwanted clothing
- Vacuum, flip and rotate mattress
LAUNDRY ROOM:
- Clean behind washer and dryer
- Clean out the lint trap on dryer
- Wash down washer and dryer
GENERAL:
- Take a high duster to all corners of walls
- Dust ceiling fans
- Dust and clean all vents
- Clean the blinds
- Wash inside and outside of windows
- Vacuum out window sills and wash down screens
- Dust and clean all lightfixtures/replace lightbulbs if needed
- Wash walls and baseboards
- Vacuum and wash drapes and curtains
- Wash or beat rugs
- Clean/shampoo carpets
- Wash down doors and light switch plates
- Change air filter
- Vacuum out couches and chairs
- Vacuum/use lint roller on lampshades
- Vacuum out sliding glass door tracks
- Clean out medicine cabinets, safely discard old prescriptions
This list may seem overwhelming at first, but if you break it down to just a few each day, you will be done in no time at all. Happy Spring Cleaning!
